FIRST TIME HOMEBUYER CLASSES IN MN
MN Home Buyer Education Classes
Many true first time homebuyer programs in MN REQUIRE at least one of the buyers attend a state approved 8-hour home buyer education classes.
Before taking a first time home buyer class, consult with your Mortgages Unlimited Loan officer about program requirements. Programs like a standard FHA loan, while used primarily by first time home buyers, DO NOT require any educational class.
DON'T TAKE THE WRONG CLASS
Most home buyer classes put on by Real Estate Agents, Banks, Credit Unions, and Mortgage Companies ARE NOT the required approved classes you need to take. Rather, most of them are simple advertising gimmicks designed to get you familiar with those people so you pick them. BEFORE taking one of those classes, be sure to ask if it is lender approved, or simply call one of our Loan Expects at (651) 552-3681.
First Step For A First Time Home Buyer in MN
Your first step is to complete a full mortgage loan application. This allows your Loan Officer to determine what programs you qualify for, how much house you can afford to buy to buy, what the payments will look like, how much money you will need to pull it all together, and if you even need to take a first time home buyer class. Most people don't want to take a class unless necessary.
